New CPU
After trading a 2TB Nvme that I wasn't using, and was still sealed in it's box, with one of my friends, my PC has undergone a slight upgrade; the previous processor, a Ryzen 5 3600 has been replaced by a Ryzen 5 5600. Core and Thread count remains the same. However, base clock speed has dropped from 3.6Ghz to 3.5Ghz, but, boost clock speed has increased from 4.2Ghz to 4.4Ghz. Most of the specs for the 2 chips are the same, with the main difference being more transistors on the 5600, and improved thermal performance. Flat out, it runs slightly faster, at a lower temperature. Overall, I should see a 15-20% improvement in CPU intensive tasks, but a lower improvement where the GPU is more involved.
